The phone call was Jared. He was wondering where I had been. The children had panicked because they didn't know where I was so they called daddy at work. Jared was annoyed that I had abandoned post and worried the kids. The kids had looked outside and hadn't seen me, so they told James that I had probably been stung by a killer bee and was dead. James was extremely upset by this idea.... Claire was emotional.... Joshua was entertained.... Daniel was covered in chocolate.
My house looks like it was hit by both an earthquake and a hurricane. Wait - it was! However, this has little to do with the absolute state of disaster. Our basement DID flood, and everything is thrown around down there. Because of this, I can't put away the things out of place upstairs. We returned from 5 weeks of vacation with quite the accumulation of STUFF. I would be more specific, but I am not exactly sure what the stuff is. I just know that my house is tiny and there is absolutely no place to put the stuff. We are lucky to find places for the stuff we use every day, so extra stuff sits out and taunts me with things like "Well, here I am. You must want me because you paid good money for me. I bet you didn't think about where you're going to put me. So just stare at me with huge amounts of annoyance because now I'm homeless and you trip over me every time you walk in the room!" Seriously, I feel like the stuff is really saying that....
I guess, in all the frustration about the mess, I can be thankful that at least I didn't get stung by a killer bee and left alone to die in the front yard.
